Recently, on the Drink Champs podcast, Kanye West appeared on the show to shed some light on all things, according to him. When West opened up about whether or not he would do a Versuz battle with Drake, the host quickly pivoted the conversation. N.O.R.E., one of the hosts, used it as an opening to discuss the beef behind the feud between West and Drake. West said he attempted to squash the beef with a text chain that leaked, but since has not found a way to amend their relationship.

All that was true until J Prince, of the label Rap-A-Lot, stepped in to intervene. J Prince connected Drake to Lil Wayne, at the beginning of his career. And is thus (among other things), highly regarded by Drake, himself, and the whole of the industry. He met with West and posted the following video on Twitter, demonstrating the willingness of West to squash the beef.

About a week later, today,  on Tuesday, November 16, Drake published the following post on Instagram. The first video in the carousel shows Dave Chappell performing at what PEOPLE says appears to be Drake’s Toronto home. In the second video, clearly, Drake and Kanye West are filmed together at the same location. What seemed to be an un-squash-able beef is now an era-ending reconciliation no one saw coming.
