"Ready to Die" the studio album released by the Notorious B.I.G. just crossed an important landmark on the Billboard 200 charts.  It stands as the oldest Hip Hop album on the entire charts.  Ready to Die entered the charts 27 years ago and hasn't left fluctuating between one of the top 100 albums but not below 200.  This achievement showcases the impact of Biggie's brand coming up on the 25th anniversary of his death and what would have been his 50th birthday.   Big Poppa and Juicy have lead the way both amassing over 1 billion streams on digital platforms.

Whether it was physical CDs or the evolution of digital media, this album has stood the time of various mediums and continues to hold it's own as one of the best Hip hop albums , if not the best hip hop album ever.
