SZA is expanding her creative empire beyond music and acting—she’s now venturing into the beauty industry.

During a recent sitdown with Jennifer Hudson, the TDE singer revealed that she’s launching a new makeup line, “Not Beauty.” Regarding her inspiration, SZA noted that along with constant questions from fans about her lip combinations, it was a “necessity” because she’s constantly singing and is a “certified yapper.” Therefore, when using lip products she needs something long-lasting, which is why she decided to create her own.

“I pretty much just designed my own formula for lip gloss and lip creams and lip liners and stains…and just all kinds of things,” the singer said. SZA revealed she chose to name the line Not Beauty because she doesn’t consider herself a “beauty connoisseur.” She added, ” I like to fill a need with things that are functional and trusted and that work, and that’s how this was born.

Lip gloss, liners, and stains are just a few of the products expected to drop. However, one may be hard-pressed to find them in stores, since they’ll only be sold exclusively on the upcoming Grand National tour.

From Mall Brands to Moodboards: The Return of Y2K Streetwear

Contemporary fashion campaigns increasingly draw on early‑2000s or “Y2K” aesthetics to appeal to younger audiences who relate to both nostalgia and irony. These campaigns remix familiar visual codes—like glossy tech imagery, logo‑heavy styling, and exaggerated silhouettes—to create a language that feels both retro and futuristic.
