‘Sinners’ Hits No. 1 On The Billboard Charts While Dominating The Box Office

For the past three weekends in a row, Sinners has been the top movie in America. It took over after A Minecraft Movie led for two frames, and it's showing very little sign of slowing down.

In fact, it's the rare blockbuster that seems to be growing via word-of-mouth as more and more people head to theaters to see the Michael B. Jordan–starring vampire flick.

Music plays a very important role in the plot of Sinners, and while it’s not a musical, there are a number of amazing performances spread throughout the film.

The project has now produced two albums, both of which have turned out to be commercially successful.

This week, the soundtrack and the score that accompany Sinners reached the Billboard charts, and it’s clear that everything connected to this title is going to be a big win.

The Sinners Soundtrack Hits the Top 10

The Sinners soundtrack is the top winner between the two releases attached to the movie. It opens on a trio of Billboardrankings this frame, and it even manages to lead one of them.

The soundtrack, which features the musical numbers from the film as well as some inspired-by cuts by modern-day hip-hop stars and other musicians, opens at No. 1 on the Blues Albums chart.

It also kicks off inside the uppermost tier on the Soundtracks list, where it opens at No. 5. Impressively, the Sinners soundtrack also makes it to the Americana/Folk Albums roster, although it starts in a much lower position, at No. 18.

The Sinners Score Also Debuts

Sinners doesn’t feature a typical orchestral score, like many films, but rather one built around blues music, which is appropriate for the story. Because of that distinction, the Sinners score also arrives on the Blues Albums chart, launching at No. 5. That means Sinners appears at both Nos. 1 and 5 on the same list, which is quite the coup for a movie project.

"Rocky Road to Dublin" Becomes a Top 10 Hit

One tune featured in the movie also becomes a top 10 hit in America, joining both Sinnersalbums. "Rocky Road to Dublin," performed by actors Jack O’Connell, Brian Dunphy, and Darren Holden, is played during a particularly eerie moment in the action-packed film. It opens on the World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 3, and it stands out as the top debut this week on that list.

Sinners Already One of 2025’s Biggest Successes

Sinners has only been out for a few weeks and is already one of the biggest successes of the year. The movie has raked in more than $180 million and ranks as the fifth highest-grossing film of 2025. In just a few weeks, it may overtake Snow White, passing the $200 million mark.

The centerpiece is Bob Costas’ high‑profile return to the network that made him a household name, with the 29‑time Emmy winner set to host Opening Day coverage and front an exclusive primetime Dodgers‑Diamondbacks broadcast on March 26. A Brutal Winter Blast Arrives Late—But With a Vengeance

After a weirdly mild start to the season, winter 2025‑26 is finally showing up in force, with a sprawling Arctic air mass and overlapping storm systems delivering snow, ice, and dangerous cold across most of the country in a late‑January breakdown from Skeptical Science. Forecasters say the pattern is driving days of snow and sleet from the Southern Plains through the Midwest and into the Northeast, with some cities bracing for half a foot to a foot of accumulation plus treacherous ice. France’s under‑15 social media ban

France’s under‑15 social media ban

France has just moved to ban most social‑media access for children under 15, one of the strictest measures yet in a broader European push to curb how much time minors spend on platforms like TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. Under the law, platforms will have to block under‑15s from creating accounts unless a parent explicitly authorizes it, and regulators are expected to push for stronger age‑verification systems to make that workable in practice. The measure comes on top of existing EU rules tha

Trump’s Plan to “Bring Back Insane Asylums” Collides With a Broken Mental‑Health System

Marking the first anniversary of his second term, Trump told reporters he has signed an executive order to “bring back mental institutions and insane asylums,” a move he framed as a way to “get the people off the streets” in coverage of the announcement by Breitbart News. The order directs federal agencies to help states reopen or build locked psychiatric facilities for people with severe mental illness, positioning institutionalization as a response to homelessness and visible distress in big‑c
