U.S. President-elect Donald Trump arrived at the Élysée Palace on Saturday for a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. The visit marks Trump's first overseas trip since his victory in the November election, making him the second U.S. president to win a nonconsecutive term.

Trump's visit to Paris coincides with the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral, an event he will attend later in the day. Macron was the first foreign leader to congratulate Trump on his election win, and their meeting highlights the strengthening ties between the two leaders.

In addition to his meeting with Macron, Trump is scheduled to meet Britain’s Prince William ahead of the Notre Dame reopening ceremony. Meanwhile, Macron is also set to host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky later in the afternoon, underscoring a day of significant international diplomacy in Paris.
