Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks are headed to the Western Conference Finals

The Oklahoma City Thunder came in as the #1 seed in the Western Conference with the MVP runner up on their roster.  They also came in as one of the youngest NBA teams in history to get to this point in the playoffs.  Dallas with NBA Champion Kyrie Irving and a roster full of older veterans got the best of OKC in 6 games.  Dallas now awaits for the winner of game 7 with the Minnesota Timberwolves and The Denver Nuggets.

On the Kyrie note, he is having by far the most successful run in the post Brooklyn Nets Big 3 breakup.  Kevin Durant got swept in the first round with the Phoenix Suns and the Clippers (James Harden) got deposed in the first round by this same Dallas Mavericks team.   The irony is that Kyrie was seen as the least desired of the three at one point and now he’s arguably the most important piece for a Dallas team that has a serious chance to make the NBA Finals and win it all.

Trump’s Culture War Turns to Nonprofits and NGOs

The piece argues that the president is deploying the same domineering tactics he’s used against media and universities—public threats, funding pressure, and regulatory scrutiny—to reshape the nonprofit sector around his
