The visiting Buffalo team held a narrow lead of 22-21 as they entered the fourth quarter, where the outcome of the game hinged on two critical short-yardage plays executed by the Bills. These plays occurred between two impressive touchdown drives and a Chiefs field goal that ultimately proved to be the deciding factor.
On both occasions, Buffalo was unable to convert on fourth down, which allowed the Chiefs’ offense to take the field with less than two minutes remaining, positioning them to secure their place in NFL history.
