Ariana Grande and The Weeknd See Their Duets Climb the Charts Once Again

Ariana Grande and The Weeknd have built a strong musical partnership over the years, delivering four successful collaborations. While their personal relationship remains unclear, their professional chemistry is undeniable. This week, two of their biggest duets—“Save Your Tears” and *“Die for You”—*are rising once again on Billboard’s global charts, proving their lasting appeal.

Both songs climb across Billboard’s two worldwide rankings, with “Save Your Tears” making the most notable gains. The remix jumps from No. 41 to No. 33 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, re-entering the top 40. It also improves on the Billboard Global 200, rising from No. 52 to No. 45.

Meanwhile, “Die for You” continues its slow-burning success. The track, originally released years before Grande joined the remix, inches up two spots to No. 79 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., while also climbing on the Billboard Global 200, though just outside the top 75.

A Record-Breaking Partnership

Among their collaborations, “Save Your Tears” stands out as the bigger global hit. The song has now spent 212 weeks on the worldwide tallies, far outlasting “Die for You”, which has charted for 151 weeks on the Billboard Global 200 and 137 weeks on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.

“Save Your Tears” is also the only Grande-Weeknd duet to reach No. 1 on either global ranking. The song topped the Billboard Global 200 in May 2021 for one week, while peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. “Die for You”also came close to the summit, reaching No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 3 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.

Chart Dominance Beyond Their Duets

Grande currently holds four spots on Billboard’s global rankings, thanks to “Defying Gravity” (with Cynthia Erivo) and her solo track “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”. However, The Weeknd outpaces her, securing seven charting hits this week. Alongside his collaborations with Grande, he continues to see success with “Timeless” (with Playboi Carti),“One of the Girls” (with Jennie and Lily-Rose Depp), “Blinding Lights,” “Starboy” (with Daft Punk), and “Sao Paulo” (with Anitta).
