The J Balvin x Jordan collaboration is set to release soon. Sneakerhead enthusiasts alike prepare for the long-awaited drop of the J Balvin Air Jordan 3 “Rio.” Fans got a glimpse of a spec sample that J Balvin sent to DJ Khalid.

Release Date

Nike released the official photos of the sneakers earlier this month, and announced the official release date of the J Balvin AJ3s with the “Rio” colorway. The sneakers will drop on SNKRS as well as select retailers on May 21 at 10PM EDT.

The sneakers keep the integrity of the classic Jordan style while embracing the sunset hues inspired by J Balvin’s “sanctuary” in Medellín, highlighted by “Solar Flare” and “Total Crimson.” The sunset inspired colorway is contrasted with the stark black leather, helping to illustrate the “nightfall-inspired design.” Accompanied with a signature emblem in the manner of a key ring, the sneakers come with specially designed box which reads: “A sunset always reminds me, a new day full of opportunity is coming.”
